ANDREA NORTHRUPTitle: Director
Pronouns: she/her Major: Business Administration, Concentration in Management Reason for Joining: I decided to start a student organization for disabled students at SF State after attending the DPRC's Women with Hidden Disabilities Group. I want to form a community to get our tough questions about being a disabled person in the professional world. Title: Operations Director
Pronouns: they/them Major: Clinical Mental Health Counseling Reason for Joining: I joined DREAM because I want to help create a community of peers with disabilities that can support each other in finding and developing their own sense of disability identity and pride, the same way I was supported when I was a Longmore Student Fellow. I also hope to contribute, through DREAM, to helping the broader SF State community (whether virtual or in person) go beyond “Disability 101” and making an accessible and inclusive campus more than just an afterthought. I want future generations of disabled SFSU students to feel welcome, like they have a place on this campus, and to have resources and community that I’ve only glimpsed during my time here. |
